Grandfather's stories
My grandfather always told the same stories every time we met with the family. He would say that things have very much changed, our culture has developed and our family tree alongside it. He would always sit with me in my room and tell me about when he was my age, sometimes mixing in with his imagination.
" Lake Titicaca"he would say "Oh, how I used to bulid leaf boats and set them free, going down the river, up the current and eventually coming to an end." The river flows as if it dosen't have and end whereas the things that flow moving with it come to an end or eventually sink to their death.
Him and his friends did not have houses when they were small instead their shelters were tent like made out of staw and strong branches and grass. In their days they had a chief and he would make decisions for his tribe. Decisions like, who would hunt for food, who perhaps would look after the little infants and children of he the tribe when parents were working to help the tribe survive.
